NSW KODOKAN JUDO ASSOCIATION – STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS
Wollongong Judo Club hosts events each year to help young members trial their knowledge in the sport of judo / grappling.
Welcome to the combined training day 2014. It’s very important that all club coaches, trainers and players understand the rules and their weight divisions. This is for the safety of all players and for the contest to run on time without delay.
Doors will open at 7am. Early start early finish. There will be 3 events (judo -Kosen grappling & no-gi Numbers pending for no gi (see attached for changes)
Members of all ages are welcome to enter.
The contest is on APRIL 6th (judo & Kosen):

Contest rules Judo
The contest will be run under the IJF rules and guidelines for a contest, with the exception of leg grabs. All players MUST be financially paid, (AKJA / MMA) player’s registrations are due on the 1st march 2014, you will be required to present your black registration book).
Contest rules Kosen grappling are on the web or request, there are no novice divisions
Sumo rules (TBA): will only be for kids under 10. Kids under 7 are combined M & F divisions
ALL weigh in times: trial 7am-7.30am Official 7.30-8am. Contest start: 9am
